Dr. Timothy A. O’Connor and Dr. Henry Z. Montes are both UCLA-trained Radiation Oncologists who bring a wealth of professional experience to Radiation Oncology Centers of Ventura County. Dr. O’Connor is Chairman of the Cancer Program at St. John's Regional Medical Center and has been named one of the “Best Doctors in America: Pacific Region”. Dr. Montes is fluent in Spanish and the recipient of many honors and awards, including the “Celebration of Excellence Award” from The Wellness Community – Valley/ Ventura. Both doctors are known for their comprehensive and compassionate care.

Dr. Timothy A. O'Connor had the opportunity to work with grief expert and author Elisabeth Kübler Ross. His experience with her during the time she started her London hospice program led him toward the field of oncology. Her compassionate care for cancer patients inspired him, and he credits her with helping him to understand the relationship between life and death.

A Ventura County native, Dr. Montes is a graduate of Boston University School of Medicine and served as Medical Director of the Radiation Oncology Department at St. Bernardine Medical Center before joining ROCVC. Fluent in Spanish and the recipient of many honors and awards, he believes in the “team approach” to cancer care, appreciates the value of knowledge, and keeps his practice at the forefront of technology.
